Angel Food Ministries vs. The Grocery Store

Every once in a while, I’m almost speechless.

This is one of those times.

I decided to see how much it would cost at the grocery store for everything in the January 2011 “Bountiful Blessings Box” from Angel Food Ministries. I made it a point to select as close to the same-size items as possible, and I deliberately tried to get the cheapest, most on-sale items available.

The results are astonishing.

Below is an actual screenshot I took from the Peapod (Stop & Shop) website with comparable food. For $119.59 you could get all this:

Or you could save $78.59 and get all this at an Angel Food pickup location for $41.00:

And this is just for one box of food! Can you imagine the savings if you ordered a month’s worth of Angel Food? I can think of no better time to try Angel Food Ministries than now. Especially if you’re trying to get ahead financially. Or if your New Year’s resolution was to save more money. And if you’re seriously tight on cash, ordering Angel Food might just be the answer to your prayers.

Keep in mind, it does take some advance planning to order Angel Food. Online ordering for this month closes 11:59 pm EST on Sunday, January 23, 2011 (six days before you pickup your food.)  And you’ll need to pick it up (or send someone else to pick it up for you) during a relatively small timeframe at your pickup location on Saturday, January 29, 2011.  You can order online here www.angelfoodministries.com or at a local pickup site.

Bottom line
If you’ve got mouth’s to feed, and have felt the pinch of the economy, it’s time to feed your family for a WHOLE LOT LESS whenever you possibly can.

Not to mention the time savings, and the other "extras" we always pick up at the grocery store that add up!!! I've been buying Angelfood for over a year now and have always been very pleased with the quality, quantity, and variety. I look forward to Angelfood pick-up week so I can skip the grocery store that week!
